Founded in 2010 by vocalist Sarah Mucho and guitarist Kurt Leege, The Sometime Boys have leapt to the forefront of the urban roots music scene in New York City. They blend elements of bluegrass, country, folk, soul, R&B and psychedelic rock into a unique, refreshing Americana sound. Led by award winning vocalist Sarah Mucho, the music is an intricate canvas of acoustic and electric stringed instrument brushstrokes, propelled by a rousing, yet soulful rhythm section that won’t quit. Sarah’s voice, which has been described as a "bold, ethereal vibrato", is backed by Kurt Leege (guitar), Pete O'Connell (bass), Jay Cowit (drums, backing vox), Mara Rosenbloom (keys) and John Blanton (backing vox).

'The Perfect Home' is a labor of love that started with some of the out-takes from the 'Riverbed' sessions. A mixed album of covers and originals, it sees the band move in a much more rock and psychedelic direction, more closely tracking the evolution of the band in their live shows. In the years after the release of 'Riverbed', The Sometime Boys played a rigorous schedule of multiple set live shows all over the greater New York region, with shows sometimes lasting upwards of 3 hours. This allowed them to do extensive musical exploration and improvisation on stage. 'The Perfect Home' gets you as close as possible to the live experience with the added bonus of multitracking.
